Integration

EDI standards define which pieces of information are required and which are optional for a particular EDI document and establishes the rules for the structure of the document. Just as two houses can be built “to code” but look very different, two EDI documents can follow the same standard but contain different pieces of information.

EDI integration in AutoPower really means data integration. Simply stated, data integration is the act of transferring data directly from its source seamlessly into or from the AutoPower data files.

AutoPower has designed a number of standard documents as the mechanism for assigning which data elements on an EDI transaction are for sending or receiving. These standard documents are then tailored to each trading partner based on the different pieces of information required. Integration is a service provided by AutoPower based on your EDI needs.

Since the data is automatically assembled and/or applied in the AutoPower system, you get the greatest benefits of EDI – Increased Productivity, Decreased Expenses, Reduced Cycle Time, Improved Supply Chain Visibility & Control and Enhanced Security.
